U14 Home Nations Invitational: England do the double - results and gallery

The Boys and Girls teams overcame their respective Scottish and Irish rivals in the finals to make sure the the spoils went the way of St George.

First up was Head Coach Shanice Turner's girls, who beat Ireland 56-29, and then it was the turn of Head Coach Ramose Modesto, who led his boys to victory over a pumped-up Scottish team, beating them 75-37.

In the presentations, Pearl Duzoh and Grace Roberts were named in the tournament’s Girls All-Star 5, with Roberts the overall MVP. 

Jack Bishop and Larry Homawoo were named in the Boys All-Star 5, with Homawoo taking home the golden MVP ball.

From the 13-15 June, Basketball Scotland welcomed the home nations of England and Wales, as well as invited guests Ireland, to the Playsport Arena, which Caledonia Gladiators call home.

The tournament began with England beating their Irish counterparts to start their campaign with aplomb.

Saturday saw England remain undefeated with further victories over Scotland and Wales. And the Sunday started with wins in their semi-finals, once again over Wales.

Ireland and Scotland finished runners up in the Girls and Boys competitions, respectively.
